In India, the ritual of making young girls a representation of the goddesses has given false hopes to how we see the current situation of females in her country. 

The irony is how we all praise them but also fear them when they are goddesses. On the other hand, we see news channels declaring my city, country the rape capital of the world. These ironies are something that all females have to live through.

A work-in-progress by Kirti, Women: Idol & Ideal is an Idea which pays homage to invisible Indian women and girls from past to present on an international scale that creates a space to image and imagine a gender- neutral world in the twenty-first century. 
Through large-scale photographs and projected video portraits in public spaces, Kirti’s work will provide viewers and listeners with a source for admiration, information & inspiration through visual representation.
